Different Types of Diets
Different types of diets seem to be everywhere! You only have to do a quick online search to see that. But before you commit to any weight loss regime, you should ask yourself four very important questions:
- Does this diet fit in with my life-style?
- Is this a natural weight-loss program or will it harm my body?
- Can I get all the ingredients I need easily in local stores and in restaurants I’m going to be eating at?
- Is this a diet that’s going to work for me?
Weight loss diets will only work if you can work with them. For example, if you have to spend time entertaining clients, only being able to eat mangoes or peanuts isn’t going to work for you. And if you have to source exotic nuts and berries and you live in the middle of nowhere, this is going to be hard.
The simple fact is, not all weight loss diets make you lose weight. In fact there are some out there that will actually increase your weight! And sometimes there are hidden reasons why you can’t seem to shake the weight off. Among the different types of diets are some that may actually make you put weight on.
They (and there are a lot of “they” out there) will tell you that the secret to successful dieting is discovering a diet plan that suits both your lifestyle and your pocket. Among the wide range of diet types, from calorie controlled (which allows you to eat almost anything you fancy provided you do not exceed a certain number of calories) to the no-carbs Atkins and the reduced-carbs South Beach diets. That’s what they say, anyway…
Different types of diets include:
- Smoothie Diet
- Low Carb Diet
- Prasouda Diet
- Mediterrean Diet
- Healthy Eating Diet
- Vegetarian Diet
- Atkins Diet
- South Beach Diet
- Detox Diet
- Cabbage Soup Diet
- Low Salt Diet
- Dairy Free Diet
- Zone Diet
- WeightWatchers
- GI Diet
All those different types of diets – how to choose?! The one thing that is true is that you have to choose a diet that fits into how you live – and not the other way round. If your diet is a constant struggle, you’re never going to stick to it and so it will prove useless. When you have to compromise about anything and it doesn’t come easily, then it’s probably useless.
